This Privacy Notice explains how Escortly UK collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you use the site.

Escortly UK is a UK-focused adult advertising directory for adults aged 18 or over. Some of the information processed through the service can relate to adult-content browsing, advertiser activity, moderation, and safety handling, so we aim to keep data use proportionate and privacy-first.

2. What Escortly UK does

Escortly UK provides a moderated platform where approved advertisers and agencies may publish adult advertising content for the UK market.

Escortly UK does not provide escort services, arrange meetings, process service payments, act as an agency, or guarantee any advertiser, visitor, or offline arrangement.

3. Personal data we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data.

Account and identity data

• username and display name;
• account type, account status, and email-verification status;
• authentication and session data handled through Appwrite Auth;
• consent records for terms, privacy, advertiser terms, adult access, and cookies where recorded.

Advertiser and agency data

• public contact methods supplied for publication;
• photos and other approved media;
• moderation status, rejection reasons, and publication state.

Technical, security, and audit data

• IP-related request information and network-derived security context;
• browser, device, and session information;
• adult-gate state, session cookies, and cookie preference data;
• CAPTCHA and human-trust results;
• login, email-verification, password-recovery, and account-security events;
• abuse-prevention, rate-limit, and audit-log data;
• server, application, and error logs.

Contact, report, and support data

• contact topic and message content;
• report reason, target reference, optional contact email, and supporting text;

5. Why we use personal data

• let advertisers and agencies manage adverts, media, and profile settings;
• moderate content and enforce site rules;
• publish approved public adverts and agency pages;
• process contact submissions, support requests, and reports;
• detect and prevent fraud, spam, scraping, and misuse;
• preserve evidence and maintain audit logs where justified;
• comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
• protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the platform, its users, and the public.

Depending on the context, we rely on one or more of these lawful bases.

Contract

Under Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR, we process ordinary account, advert, media, subscription, and security data where needed to create and operate the account, provide listing-management tools, moderate submitted content, and publish an approved advert at the advertiser's request.

Legitimate interests

We process moderation data, security logs, technical signals, first-party engagement events, abuse-prevention data, and report-handling records where needed to operate Escortly UK safely, prevent misuse, and protect users and the public.

Legal obligation

We process and retain information where required to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or preserve records in connection with safety, crime prevention, or regulatory matters.

Consent

We rely on consent where required, such as adult access confirmation, cookie preferences, or optional analytics if they are enabled in the future. Terms are accepted as a contract and this Privacy Notice is acknowledged; neither is treated as blanket consent to personal-data processing.

For advertiser-provided information that may reveal special-category data in an adult-listing context, we rely on explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) UK GDPR for moderation and, after approval, publication. That consent is collected separately immediately before the first moderation submission.

7. Sensitive and adult-context data

Escortly UK is an adult advertising platform. Advert text, profile details, contact information, and media supplied by an advertiser may reveal information about sex life, sexual orientation, health, ethnicity, or other sensitive matters. We process that potentially sensitive listing data for moderation and publication only after the advertiser gives the separate explicit consent described above.

The advertiser may withdraw this consent through a privacy request. Once withdrawal is completed, the advertiser's listings and media are removed from public access and cannot be submitted again unless current explicit consent is provided. Private drafts remain available unless deletion is also requested. Withdrawal does not make earlier consent invalid and does not prevent limited retention where another lawful basis and applicable condition supports legal claims, safety handling, or a legal obligation.

Reports and moderation records are processed under legitimate interests or legal obligations as applicable. Where they contain special-category data, processing is limited to an applicable UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 condition, including legal claims or safeguarding/substantial-public-interest handling where the facts support it. Escortly UK maintains an internal Appropriate Policy Document for substantial-public-interest safeguarding or unlawful-content processing.

We ask users not to submit unnecessary special-category or highly sensitive information. Future workflows that require stronger verification or document review must provide their own specific privacy information before collection.

8. Public information

Approved adverts and agency profiles may be publicly visible. Public content may include display names, categories, location labels, advert text, approved public media, and advertiser-supplied public contact methods.

Where special-category data is deliberately included in an approved advert, we may also rely on the manifestly-public condition only for the material the advertiser deliberately chose to publish. Drafts, rejected content, private account data, reports, and moderation material are not treated as manifestly public.

You are responsible for ensuring that any public content you publish is lawful, accurate, consensual, and rights-cleared.

9. Sharing data

We may share personal data with:

• hosting, database, and infrastructure providers;
• authentication, storage, and email providers;
• CAPTCHA, abuse-prevention, monitoring, and error-reporting providers;
• professional advisers;
• law enforcement, regulators, courts, or authorities where legally required or justified;
• trusted service providers helping us operate Escortly UK.

We do not sell personal data.

10. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or other recognised transfer mechanisms.

11. Cookies and analytics

Escortly UK uses essential cookies for sessions, adult access confirmation, security, CAPTCHA or human-trust state, and cookie preferences where implemented.

Escortly UK also records first-party listing-engagement events, such as listing views, favourites, contact actions, phone reveal, WhatsApp clicks, gallery opens, and photo views, for advertiser-visible performance reporting and platform integrity.

Optional third-party analytics are not enabled by default. If self-hosted Umami or another optional analytics tool is enabled in the future, it must remain accurately described in the Cookies Policy and must respect the configured consent rules.

12. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice.

Typical retention approach:

• account and subscription records: while the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure;
• adverts, agencies, and media metadata: while operationally required, plus moderation and audit periods;
• public contact and report submissions: for support, abuse-handling, safety, and legal record purposes;
• consent records: for as long as needed to evidence the accepted version and date;
• security, audit, and abuse-prevention logs: for limited periods appropriate to integrity, investigation, and troubleshooting needs.

We may retain information for longer where needed for legal claims, investigations, moderation history, or law-enforcement cooperation.

13. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including authenticated account access, same-origin protected server routes, access controls, private storage for non-public files, audit logging, and abuse-prevention controls.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. You must keep your login credentials confidential and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

14. Your rights
